where people touched by diabetes help each other.

Biggest hypo last night. Ran out of strips for my new meter so used another new one and was 3.6mmol but didn't feel that high so used another and I was 2.8! I think I may have gone well under 2.

I had the same freestyle machine as you Hun and it's rubbish it's so far out at times it's crazy. Always had to retest to get an average :/ #

#i was told by specialist that anything under 4 becomes very inaccurate on most meters so to keep blood above 5 at all times. Had a whopping hypo myself today so u see I'm great at taking advice lol x

Just saw these replies..**** I use 1 unit per 15 g carbs but as you can see, everyone is different. Get your Endo to refer you to a Dietitian. They are invaluable! Also look at the DAFNE course

**** a hypo with the pump is a little different to me than with my Lantus. I don't get the sudden drop like I used to. It still keeps plugging away when I hypo though.

If I used a CGM I think you can program it so that when your levels go down it will suspend for a while to get your levels back up
