Average meal bolus is 8 units on my pump, but 16 in syringe units. But I have to take twice the number of units on my pump vs. syringe units for corrections. Why?

You are probably having absorption problems at your pump sites, or the insulin in your pump may be spoiling.

There may be a significant difference in your basal insulin on board. Meaning, the lantus you take with a syringe may be less than your basal rate is delivering at a particular time of time, and the balance is made up by your meal bolus.
