where people touched by diabetes help each other.

Hi all, I am looking for some Afrezza.... just looking to try it out- Anyone have an inhaler and a few cartridges I could try?? ———-> Tradeseys??? I’ve got lots of tandem pump supplies & Verio test strips & Freestyle test strips & some Humulog vials & a few Lantus Vials... just wanna see how well Afrezza works for me, how quickly it brings down a moderately carby meal... trying to prepare for the holiday season..... wanna make sure I’ll like it before I go to war with my insurance company to get a prior authorization approval... 😖💩😬🤤🙄

I've been looking for a while too, good luck to you!! I hope we both find someone soon!!! I met a mom with a 16 year old son who LOVES it for his carby meals! Best insulin that's ever worked for him, he's been on it a long while!!!

I like it for bringing down after meal highs.

I would like to try it for my son but I haven’t had enough time to research how it effects the lungs? Does anyone have links to good articles that talk about any of the long lasting effects?

It is simply too new for a long term side effect study to be published. Here is a link to a pretty good review of it.

you breathe in more dust then is in the ofrezca cartridges. I haven't noticed any problems with my lungs.

My son and I have both been using Afrezza for over 30 months and no issues at all with our lungs. Many insurance companies cover Afrezza and now with their new label more will open up on Jan 1, ####. It’s worth the fight.

I agree. What is their new label?

The new labeling approved by FDA seems more related to marketing. Here is a link thAt explains: https://www.google.com/amp/www.newstimes.com/business/amp/FDA-approves-new-label-language-for-Afrezza-####.php
