where people touched by diabetes help each other.

Hi everyone, any advice on does the Dex really give a "low battery" warning? My G5 transmitter just hit 3 months so I'm wondering if it will just die or warn me first. - thanks

I've been told that it has a 22 day grace period (so 90 days +22 days) and you should get a message on your receiver or phone that says "Your transmitter battery is low. The transmitter will stop working in about three weeks. Check your email inbox for more details." We are still new to Dex, so haven't gotten the message yet, but I do think you'll get a warning.

**** I've received this a couple of times. One time it gave me a longer time period but there was one time it lasted just over a week.

Well, it died. Gave me 1 warning and then a few hours later was done.

Hi...I know that the transmitters for the G5 are only good for 3 months. I was told by my dexcom educator that it will start giving you false readings after the 3 months.
