Our Story

Helparound was born out of the notion that there is no such thing as “one size fits all” experiences or outcomes.
Just as science is advancing with personalized therapies, personal technology is evolving too.
Helparound aims to help chronic patients and their support systems, overwhelmed by a life-changing condition, to simplify the day-to-day of managing treatment by magically delivering the information and support resources they need, when they need them, through their smartphones.
Our founders Yishai Knobel and Shlomi Aflalo founded helparound in 2013 with the shared goal of helping people with chronic illness to navigate their lives on the go. Each had a close connection to someone living with a chronic condition. With their respective backgrounds in health tech and behavioral targeting, they conceived of a location-based diabetes safety net. And thus, the first peer supported helparound network was born.
What started as one of the first mobile communities for people with diabetes has gained increasing popularity.
And we’ve since added several more communities to serve people living with chronic conditions.
At helparound, we apply our knowledge of mobile health and data analytics to build “safety nets” that help patients thrive. We believe that people are ready for mobile solutions that understand and cater to them personally and, together with pharmaceutical manufacturers, patient hubs and other stakeholders, we can bring this level of personalized service to healthcare.
